During the 20th anniversary year of the Oklahoma City bombing, the capital and largest city of Oklahoma welcomed the American Journalism Historians Association for its 34th annual convention.

In addition to research paper presentations and panel discussions covering the gamut of mass communication history topics, the conference featured several special events, including a tour of historic sites in the host city and recognition of journalists from the host community.

The video above (provided by Lippert Media) shows the Local Panel, "Journalist and Scholar Insights on the OKC Bombing," in its entirety.

A recap of a second Oklahoma City Bombing panel, "Twenty Years Later: The Oklahoma City Bombing and Its Impact on Media Law," appeared in the Columbia Journalism Review.

Thanks to all who assisted in planning the Oklahoma City convention and to all who attended.

We look forward to seeing you Oct. 6-8, 2016 in St. Petersburg.
