Southeast SymposiumAmerican Journalism Historians Association's Southeast Symposium is a two-day meeting of scholars from academic institutions in the region. The symposium typically takes place in late January or early February in Panama City, Florida. The conference is designed to promote graduate and undergraduate student research, and it provides a scholarly forum for student presentations and discussions. Faculty from participating institutions nominate students to present their research in a welcoming and encouraging setting. Although papers are not reviewed for acceptance, faculty judges review the papers to determine awards for the best papers in undergraduate and graduate student categories.
